I enjoyed Thexder on the Apple IIgs in ...Nice post. I enjoyed Thexder on the Apple IIgs in 1987 and it looked great on that machine's 640x200 4-colors (out of 4096) display. Silpheed landed on the GS, as well, but it had some serious load times and, aside from the intro sequence, the game looked pretty basic (like the orig). The SegaCD has an amazing version of Silpheed.<br /><br />I've played these on my Amiga and Atari ST as well. 640x200 was not an oft-used action game resolution outside Japan, indeed.
